October 21 2020:  Highway Delite, a travel tech start-up, that provides information of verified highway pit stops and wayside amenities across 60,000+KMs in India, has won the National Start-up Award in Tourism Sector - Travel Planning and Discover category.
Highway Delite is building digitally connected highway wayside amenities platform to enable tourists and travellers to discover facilities and transact with verified highway services and amenities. The platform enables commuters to have real time location based verified highway services information including facilities and photos of more than 12 categories including verified Restaurants, Dhabas, Washroom, Fuel pumps, Hotels, Mechanic, ATMs, Pharma, Hospitals, Emergency Numbers, Tourist places, Accident Zones, Handicrafts and Handloom and Souvenir Stores.  The app has covered more than 60,000 KMs of highways pan India and have more than 1 lakh verified data points. Highway Delite covers more than 100 facilities list across the above categories including separate women washroom, disabled access, disabled washrooms, first aid kit, digital payments, and others.
Overall, 1641 applications were received for National Startup Awards for 12 Sectors, further divided into 35 categories and 3 special categories.
