Samsung Galaxy On Max is aimed at photo enthusiasts

Bangalore, July 18 2017: Today every person   with  a smart-phone can be called a photographer and most of our social media posts are filled with pictures of people, places, animals, food, etc.  We need a device with good camera features that is at least  on par with semi-professional DSLRs. Smart-phone makers  have realised this need and are improving the camera quality with each new launch. The recently launched Samsung 'Galaxy On Max' is one such device that caters to  photography enthusiasts. We got our hands on this device to try out its camera features and here’s what we think:
Many of us believe that higher megapixel count means better picture quality, but that is not entirely correct. A large aperture is also as  important to get the proper sharpness, exposure and lighting in our pictures. Hence, Samsung has highlighted this particular feature of its On Max device, which sports an f 1.7 aperture with 13 megapixels sensor. The wide aperture  helps in capturing pictures with good focus and clarity. We took a few low light shots and the results were impressive. You can play around with the exposure, shutter speed and ISO in the Pro Mode to get proper setting for your pictures according to the lighting.  We could capture different shots like sunset, silhouette, over-exposed, etc. The other camera modes include HDR, Panorama and Social Camera, which allows you to share your pictures live on social media.  The front camera with a 13 megapixels sensor with flash and f 1.9 aperture also gets you decent selfies.
Form factor-wise the device fills up your hand. It has a 5.7 inch display that has full HD, LCD screen. Even though the device has a bigger screen size, it doesn’t seem bulky and weighs 179 grams. The design is slim and sleek with a uni-body metal form that is curved at the edges.
The Galaxy On Max is powered by Octa Core, MediaTek Processor with 4 GB RAM and runs on Android Nougat 7.  The internal memory of 32 GB is expandable up to 256 GB via Micro SD card. The devices comes with a separate slots for memory card and Dual SIMs. It supports 4G LTE connectivity and has a battery life of 3,300 mAh. The battery lasted us one entire day on a normal usage.
Priced at Rs. 16, 900, the Samsung Galaxy On Max is available in two colour variation, Black and Gold. According to us the device is reasonably priced and has features that are worth every penny. The device is available exclusively on Flipkart.
