Zen Ultrafone 701HD: a value-for-money smartphone with a few nice add-ons

The latest Zen Mobile smartphone from the Teleecare Group -- Zen Ultrafone 701HD -- packs in so many additional features that buyers looking for an affordable dual SIM smartphone will have to consider it very seriously against the competition, even among India brands. Consider:
The phone is fuelled by a 1.2 GHz quad core chip and the 4.2 Jelly beans version of the Android OS – both as contemporary as you can get. Both cameras on board are megapixel : an 8 MP autofocus rear camera with HD (1080p) video recording and a 3.2 MP front facing camera. The rear camera comes with LED flash as well as features like burst shot and panoramic shot that you will be hard put to find in many digital compacts. The dual SIM option can take both 3G (WCDMA) and 2G (GSM) SIMS. The memory and storage is higher than average: 1 GB RAM and 4 GB built in storage expandable to 32 GB – so you can exploit the full power of the quad processor. Like most smart phones the Ultrafone 701 HD has proximity and gyro sensors as well as an ambient light detector adjust the brightness -- but how many smart phones today bother to throw in a torch? This one does – and Indians who first demanded this feature will appreciate it.
The screen is a 5 inch IPS LCD with 720p resolution which makes for easy viewing of even crowded menu options. The attention to the little things extends to providing things like a free screen guard, a flip cover and a back panel. All in all very good value for the asking price of Rs 11,999.
