HTC One X: More camera than phone

New Delhi April 9, 2012 – Taiwan-headquartered global maker of smartphones HTC, has launched a high end model in India that is more camera than phone.

The HTC One X , is fuelled by the NVIDIA® Tegra 3 1.5 GHz quad core graphics processor together with a 12-Core NVIDIA GPU and comes with a jumbo 4.7-inch, 720p HD Corning Gorilla Glass screen. ( In some 4G areas, the phone comes with an LTE-enabled Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 and 1.5GHz dual-core CPUs.)

The phone runs Android 4.0 (ICS) with HTC Sense 4, the new version of HTC’s own software that includes ImageSense, a new suite of camera and imaging features. This ensures that the HTC One sharply reduces the time it takes to capture key moments to just 0.7 seconds with 0.2-seconds autofocus. The f/2.0 lens on the HTC One X claims to capture 40 percent more light than the more common f/2.4 lenses.

One can capture a photo and shoot video at the same time: while shooting HD video, one has to tap the shutter button and it snaps a high-resolution still photo while the video continues to shoot. You can also capture a photo frame from a previously recorded video.

HTC has integrated Dropbox into HTC Sense 4 enabling HTC One customers to get 25 gigabytes of free Dropbox space for two years – that’s about 10,000 high-quality photos which one can edit, save and share. Plugging HTC’s wireless Media Link HD accessory into a TV’s HDMI port, a user can share your photos, videos, or anything else on your phone.

Audio-wise, HTC One, comes with the well known Beats By Dr. Dre Audio

Street prices in India are expected to be in the range Rs 38,000 to the MRP Rs 48,000.
