BANGALORE, October 11, 2011 – Leading supplier of manufacturing solutions for the semiconductor, display and solar industries, Applied Materials, has announced the appointment of Aninda Moitra as the Country President for Applied Materials India. His responsibilities include overseeing alignment, coordination and execution of Applied’s business, operational and strategic activities in the country.
Moitra has been with Applied Materials for more than 15 years and has held a variety of positions with increasing responsibility. Most recently, he was Vice President and Account General Manager in the Silicon Systems Group. Prior to that, he held various other positions in sales, business development, and M&A integration management of the semiconductor business. Moitra earned an MBA from Columbia Business School in New York, and a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities.
