Change of guard at MAIT: Ashwini Aggarwal  is new Executive Director;  Sandeep Nair takes over as President; Alok Bharadwaj is Vice President

Ashwini Aggarwal has taken charge as the new Executive Director of the Manufacturer’s Association of Information Technology (MAIT) , the apex body representing the interest of IT hardware industry in India. He takes over from Vinnie Mehta who served in that capacity for 11 years before moving on earlier this year to take up a similar position with the Automotive Component Manufacturers Association of India (ACMA).
An M.Sc. in Physics and Electronics from St. Stephens College and an MBA from Delhi University, Ashwini comes to MAIT with over 27 years of industry experience, 18 years of them with Hewlett-Packard. More recently, he has worked with Omnicom Media Group, in their group company, CPM India as Vice-President, Strategic initiatives. Ashwini was the IT Channels ‘Most Favorite Marketing Manager’ for the year 2006.

At its twenty-seventh annual session last week, MAIT also saw Sandeep Nair, President, Emerson Network Power (India), taking over as the new President and Alok Bharadwaj, Senior Vice President, Canon India coming in as its Vice President for 2010-11.
Ashwini Aggarwal, says: “ Both have contributed immensely to the development of IT market in the country. With their vast experience, they will add immense value towards augmenting and furthering the IT industry ecosystem in the country”.
