Kumud Srinivasan is new  Intel India President

Bangalore, October 15, 2012 – Intel veteran of 25 years, Kumud Srinivasan is to head Intel India as President. She succeeds Praveen Vishakantaiah who is relocating to the U.S. as the General Manager of Client Solutions and Technology group in the PC Client Group for Intel.
Kumud has held several business and information systems positions within Intel’s Manufacturing and Information Technology organizations. In her previous role, Kumud was Vice President and General Manager of IT for Silicon Software and Services and also led Intel’s internal full-service consulting practice.
Says Kumud: “Today Intel India is a major design site for Intel and is one of the fastest-growing emerging markets powering our growth. We have a solid foundation here and a stellar reputation as being a great place to work. We will continue to innovate in order to continue transforming people’s lives through technology. I am excited that my new job is taking me back to my cultural roots.”
Kumud received her bachelor’s degree in economics from Calcutta University in 1981 and her master's degree in information and library studies from Syracuse University in 1984.
With over 3,500 people, India is Intel’s largest non-manufacturing site outside the US.
