Mumbai, July 10, 2012 -- Santosh Bijur is to be the the managing director of Verizon Data Services India, the IT development center of Verizon in India. Santosh, will lead a 6,000-member workforce in Chennai and Hyderabad and will be responsible for Verizon’s India IT strategy & operationsto create value for the corporation.
Prior to his new appointment, Santosh served as head of ITdelivery for call center self service systems. Santosh, who joined Verizon 10 years ago, has 18 years ofexperience in the telecommunications industry, having worked in the U.S. forSprint, MCI and GTE. He holds a U.S. patent in the area of call centermanagement technology.
He will replace Rahul Saxena who is moving back to the U.S. taking the new role of vice president - Strategy,Development & Planning at Verizon’s headquarters.
