Bangalore, January 29., 2013: The 13th edition of  India's biggest biotech event and Karnataka state’s flagship biotech expo – Bangalore India Bio, comes back to the city next week ( February 4-6) with large delegations from Victoria, Australia, Alberta, Canada, the US state of Georgia and Scotland. Other international participation is from Germany, UAE, France, UK, Mexico, Japan Malaysia and Singapore and European and South East Asian countries. The event will see the release of three industry reports: "Indian Biotechnology:The roadmap to the Next Decade and beyond by Association of Biotech-Led Enterprises (ABLE); Opportunities for Fermentation Industry & Biotechnology" by ABLE and Report on "Funding Your Science Idea" from A tharva Life Sciences Consulting.
The Georgia, Department of Economic Development, Atlanta, Georgia, USA will be signing an MoU with Karnataka Biotechnology and Information Services (KBITS) paving the way for better knowledge exchange and trade relations.
One of the highlight sessions at Bangalore INDIA BIO is the Fireside Chat - a high-profile discussion bringing together a strong line-up of Speakers from leading lifesciences companies like Biocon, Bio Century – US and Novartis India to discuss "India’s challenges in being preferred as the Global Biotech Hub".
Over 100 organisations from various verticals of Life Sciences Industry like biopharmaceuticals, bio-suppliers, bio-informatics, bio-medicaldevices, etc. will be part of the trade expo.
An event overview was given today by I.S.N.Prasad Principal Secretary Dept. of Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science &Technology, Government of Karnataka, along with Dr. Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Chairperson, Karnataka’s Vision Group on Biotechnology & CMD - Biocon Ltd and S Suryanarayan Director General ABLE and  Chairman Sea6 Energy  Pvt Ltd..
