German tech services leader, TUV Rheinland, opens Indian software test lab

Mumbai, November 3, 2012. Cologne, Germany-headsquartered global top ten technical service provider, TÜV Rheinland, has opened a new software products  testing laboratory in Gurgaon, in India’s national capital region. The company has invested 1.9 million euros for the 1,500 square meter laboratory and another 1.5 million euros are being invested in two additional softlines laboratories coming up in Bangalore and Tirupur in South India. TÜV Rheinland CEO Dr. Manfred Bayerlein said at the inauguration last week: “The huge Indian market for product testing is also a very important market for TÜV Rheinland. This is why we invest in four laboratories in this region alone, with a laboratory in Bangladesh operational since last year and three new ones this year in India.”
The softlines laboratory network of TÜV Rheinland now comprises testing facilities in nine countries, offering customers the benefit of one-stop testing for global markets.
