TCS sets up centre in heart of US Silicon Valley

Santa Clara, February 1, 2012: India’s biggest IT services, consulting and business solutions firm, Tata Consultancy Services has opened a Customer Collaboration Centre in heart of the US Silicon Valley in Santa Clara, California.

The centre will serve as the worldwide headquarters of TCS’ Mobility Solutions, which aims to bring the benefits of emerging technologies like big data, analytics and mobility to enterprises across all industries. The centre will also serve as the base for TCS’ Next Gen Solutions, which applies the latest advances in software technology to real-world business problems that customers may face. It is designed to provide an open, innovative and collaborative workspace that adopts the entrepreneurial spirit and best practices employed by the world’s leading start-up companies in the Valley.

The launch of the new TCS collaboration centre was attended by local officials including US Congressman Mike Honda and over 65 customers from the USA, Canada and Europe. The Santa Clara centre is the latest addition to TCS’ growing operations across North America where it has been operating since 1979 when it established its first office in New York City. TCS now has more than twenty offices across the region including four development centres and centres of excellence creating winning solutions that provide its North-American customers with a competitive edge in the marketplace.
