Lucknow, May 26 2022: Global PC products leader Gigabyte Technology, is the associate sponsor of the new IPL cricket team, Lucknow Super Giants.  Gigabyte’s gaming brand ‘Aorus’ has helped to launch the team’s own Metaverse – the first of its kind for sports in India.
The platform provided an immersive experience for fans who couldn’t travel to watch the matches, by recreating the team’s home cricket stadium, with panels along the inner walls, where visitors to the experience can view player statistics and try on their jerseys. The external walls were covered in artwork evoking the unique spirit of Lucknow through dancers and musicians.
Visitors could virtually ‘meet-and-greet’ their cricketing idols and win Gigabyte products.
