AI Lab brings artificial intelligence coding to schools

December 19, 2021: Chennai-headquartered edtech company,  AI School of India has launched India’s first AI Lab with a global curriculum to provide students transformational Artificial Intelligence (AI) and coding learning experiences.
The technology provider to AI School of India for the AI LAB is AI World School. The AI content and curriculum for AI learning in the AI LAB is specifically designed and developed by educators and engineers of the AI School of India. These experts are trained and certified by ISTE, USA, Intel, and IBM. Professors from the Oxford University in the United Kingdom, and Graz University of Technology in Austria also contributed to the development of AI content.
The AI LAB will help learners discover the world of artificial intelligence right from a young age. Children can explore futuristic learning with the AI LAB in school. The AI LAB has different experiential and virtual learning courses. These courses are highly interactive, self-directed, and self-paced. The different projects as a part of the AI learning in the AI LAB will help students learn technologies that are an important aspect of artificial intelligence.
The AI LAB is designed around the “5 Big Ideas” of Perception, Comprehension, Learning, Natural Interaction and Impact of AI. The AI content for various courses is also aligned to the CBSE and ATL- NASSCOM framework.
The mission of the AI LAB is to help schools in providing the learners with unique, and rich learning experiences in AI education and ensure that they are ready with 21st Century skills for their higher education, career, and life in the 2030s. The AI LAB is specifically targeted towards achieving the objective of AI learning of children from Grade 6 to Grade 12. AI LAB makes it possible for students to secure a high-paying job in the future by learning different artificial intelligence concepts like neural networks, natural language processing, robotics and machine learning.
Says Suresh Gurunathan,  Vice-President, AI School of India: “The importance of artificial intelligence and coding to make the learners future-ready has already been highlighted in the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and CBSE. Top schools like BVM Global, Banyan, and many others in the country have already started with AI learning by introducing key artificial intelligence concepts and have started working with AI School of India for AI LAB, machine learning, and robotics. Being a part of the AI LAB, AI School of India will provide infrastructure, AI content, and AI training to students with cloud access using the existing computer labs in schools.”
