Nation's biggest infotech show, Convergence India, opens this week

The regions' largest and most established ICT event - Convergence India - opens this week in Delhi.  The 3-day exhibition ( March 24-26) has a strong international presence, with dedicated country pavilions from China, Taiwan, and the USA.
The Chief Guest this year is Sachin Pilot, Minster of State, Ministry of Communications & IT, Govt. of India
The exhibition covers : 12,000 sq. metres with more than 430 exhibitors from 25 countries including participation from Agilent, Aircel, C-DoT, Conax, Duraline, Ericsson, GTL, F-Secure, Intex, Harmonic, Huawei, Microqual, NDS, Nokia Siemens, Panasonic, RAD Data, Raychem, RFS, SIS, Viom networks, and many more
The event is being harnessed by the Broadband Forum, USA to announce year-end 2010 global broadband and IPTV figures with special emphasis on India and the region.It will also see India- China discussions on Lithium-ion battery technology for the portable power products used in the mobile industry and the launch of an industry White Paper , ‘3G gets underway in India’ prepared by Ovum.

An inaugural Panel Discussion on “NextGen Applications & Services…Empowering a Billion Lives” will be chaired by J S Sarma – Chairman, Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, while other key speakers are:
