January 14 2020: Google remembers Indian poet Kaifi Azmi today on his 101st  birth anniversary with a doodle.
Sayyid Athar Hussein Rizvi, known as Kaifi Azmi, is remembered as the one who brought Urdu literature to Indian motion pictures. Together with Pirzada Qasim, Jaun Elia and others he participated in the most memorable mushairas of the twentieth century.  He died on May 10 2002. He is the father of film actress Shabana Azmi
