Singapore, June 20 2019: As smart devices gain prominence and popularity, how would these shape the world and societies of tomorrow? ConnecTechAsia returned to Singapore this week, with a lineup of more than 200 speakers, 1,700 exhibitors and 40,000 international attendees.
The show boasts key technology brands such as Alibaba Cloud, IBM, NTT DOCOMO, VMware, and others, coming together to outline the latest tech innovations and share expertise and knowledge between visitors from around the world.
Here are some of the highlights to date, both involving humanoid robots:
OTSAW launched its O-R2 indoor autonomous security robot at ConnecTechAsia. Integrating self-driving, AI, data gathering and analysis, face recognition and live 360-degree streaming, the O-R2 will be deployed to boost security capabilities and deter crimes in indoor areas such as airports and shopping malls.
Solustar also launched VAL II, its smart concierge robot that gives a boost to front-line service staff, speaking three languages (English, Mandarin, Malay) and assisting visitors with directions, printing passes and more.
