Global onsite programming contest SnackDown comes to Bangalore

Bangalore, February 15 2019: A multi-round global on-site programming competition, SnackDown hosts the finale of its 5th edition in India’s tech-hub, for the first time. The on-site finale will take place tomorrow. With this edition SnackDown extends its reach with over 27000+ teams (i.e. over 40,000 individual participants) who registered to participate in the qualifying online round. Following multiple online rounds, 38 teams (25 global and 13 Indian) have been selected for the on-site finale.
SnackDown is a global programming event that invites teams from all over the world to take part in India’s most prestigious multi-round programming competition. Hosted by CodeChef, SnackDown is open to anyone with a knack for programming.
In its 5th edition, some of the very best and most celebrated programmers in the world will come together and will compete against each other under one roof. Everyone from middle-school, high school students as well as working professionals form teams that attempt to take home the coveted crown and are rewarded with cash prizes, especially the top performers across categories of the SnackDown championship.
This year, CodeChef is also using the SnackDown finale as an opportunity to host a corporate interaction with Anup Kalbalia, BU Head, CodeChef and Bhavin Turakhia, CEO and Co-Founder of Directi. This event offers a chance to learn and collaborate with CodeChef as well as network and create meaningful professional relationships.
The finalists of SnackDown 2019 belong to the top institutions and organisations spread across the globe such as the MIT, Stanford, ITMO University, University of Warsaw, Tsinghua University, Peking University, Google, VK, AIM Tech, IITs among others.
