The real time pollution monitoring system detects air particulate till PM2.5 along with noise pollution, aims to install 500 outdoor Air Quality monitoring sensors this month

New Delhi, November 10 2018: Purelogic lab, an initiative to increase awareness about air pollution announced the launch of India’s most comprehensive pollution monitoring platform, AQI India. The state-of-the-art platform detects and reports invisible air particulate as small as PM2.5 along with noise pollution of around the surrounding environment wherever their monitoring sensors are installed. In a first of its kind private initiative in India, the company has already installed 300 outdoor sensors including few live sensors across the country and plans to raise the count to 500 by this Diwali. In association with Council of Energy, Environment and Water (CEEW), 50 monitoring sensors have also been deployed in various districts of Punjab to keep a close track of the crop burning. With over 92% of Indian population reeling under the perils of air pollution, it has become imperative to identify and mitigate the root causes of this rising health emergency. AQI India, through its intelligent algorithms and high precision pollution detection sensors capture every miniscule air particle to publish highly accurate readings. The preconfigured sensor incorporates a GSM card and can save historic data up to one year. This will facilitate informative comparisons for analysis of the air quality. Along with AQI and noise reading, the platform also provides live feeds for PM2.5, PM10, humidity and temperature. The platform also has a Live Stream facility wherein users can see the live video of the pollution scenario through cameras installed in Delhi, Bangalore and Aizawl.
Along with the data to fuel the further research to identify and understand the source of pollutions and devising ways to better manage the same, AQI India will publish relevant and critical information alerting and informing the audience regarding the pollution scenarios. AQI India’s vision is to provide better air quality solutions and a healthy life to everyone. In this endeavour, the self-funded company is offering the state of art pollution sensors free of charge throughout the country.

The live data is currently available through 300 Pan India sensors at www.aqi.in More features are being introduced on the platform and shall be rolled out in phased manner. The mobile application for android and iOS will be available for downloading in first week of November.
