NetApp opens Data Visionary Engineering Centre in its Bangalore Campus

Bangalore,May 8, 2018:  Hybrid cloud solutions specialists — NetApp -- have opened a  (Data Visionary Engineering Centre (DVEC) in their Bangalore  based  Global Center of Excellence. 
The Centre  seeks to  empower Asia-Pacific customers and partners to transform the world with data.  A US based  DVEC was inaugurated simultaneously at NetApp's headquarters in Sunnyvale, California, USA.
The new APAC DVEC offers an interactive, high-touch experience to its customers and partners. Further extending NetApp’s ability to support customers and partners embarking on digital transformation across Asia. This is the place where companies discuss robust solutions that aid transformation, accelerate growth, and reduce costs. Companies have access to customized sessions on topics tailored to specific concerns and needs of the business, such as the need for cloud-ready workflows or methods to modernize storage through data management.

Product launches
The occasion also the launch of some new NetApp products and solutions:
Cloud-connected flash to enable analytics and artificial intelligence capabilities for customers  & Object storage software for increased data retention compliance. The neww version 9.4 of NetApp's  storage OS, ONTAP  can now address 30 TB of enterprise solid state storage -- the industry's highest.  Mr Visweswaraiah explained that the software for this was fully developed at NetApp's Bangalore centre, which has already notched up 250 patents granted and 400 applied for.
NetApp  also announced NetApp Cloud Volumes for Google Cloud Platform,  a fully-managed, cloud-native file storage service that’s integrated with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).   NetApps is already  compatible with Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure, the other two major  hyperscalers.
