New Delhi, April 28, 2016:, the first India-wide market place enabling food ordering for travellers in transit, has recorded within six months since October 2015 512108 meals delivered including 80,928 meals booked through the mobile website, 63,174 through the website, 1,38,227 through their app and 2,29, 779 through their toll-free number. New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, Kolkata are among the top cities from where a maximum number of bookings have been received.
As per the latest data, 42.17% meals were booked in October’15 through their call center, followed by 42.28% in November’15 , 52.36% in December’15, 49.26% in January’16, 43.47% in February’16 and 38.64% in March’16. Meanwhile, through their digital channel, 57.83% meals were booked in October’15, 57.72% in November’15, 47.64% in December’15, 50.74% in January’16, 56.53% in February’16 and 61.36% in March’16.
The maximum users of TravelKhana when it comes to ordering through both mobile and website happen to be youngsters in the age bracket of 18 and 34. The majority of bookings through the mobile app of TravelKhana, were made between the age group of 18 and 34, which was 80.89%. The remaining 7.03%, 4.40%, 4.56% and 3.33% were in the age groups of 35-44, 55-64, 45-54 and 65+ respectively. Meanwhile, 77.73% bookings were made by people between the age group of 18 and 34 through the TravelKhana website followed by 9.03% in 35-44, 5.40% in 55-64, 5.36% in 45-54 and 2.49% by people above 65 years.
