Advent opens its second India  mobile battery  unit to Make in India

New Delhi March 15, 2016: Adit Infratel Pvt Ltd, the company behind brand Advent and a leading player in the mobile accessories and peripherals market, has announced the commencement of India’s first and only lithium polymer embedded battery manufacturing facility at Manesar, Haryana.
Involving an overall investment of Rs 250 million, the initiative is part of company’s Make in India strategy promoted by the Govt. of India to boost local manufacturing, reduce dependency on imports and create large scale impact on the domestic economy through job and wealth creation.
Spread over 10000 square feet, the state of the art facility has an installed capacity of 60,000 mobile batteries and 20,000 mobile chargers per day. With the commencement of Manesar facility, the combined manufacturing capacity of Adit Infratel including the unit at Parwanoo, HP, will stand at 95,000 mobile batteries, 25,000 mobile chargers and 4000 power banks per day.
Says  Vikram Kalia, Director Sales & Marketing, Adit Infratel: ‘ We are one of the largest players in the OEM mobile battery segment and the  Government's  Make in India campaign has provided us with the right impetus to become a dominant player. The state of the art unit at Manesar will allow us to augment our local manufacturing capacity to cater to the exploding demand for smartphones and also produce more efficiently, thanks to greater control over the entire chain. We hope to significantly increase our topline to Rs 3.35  billion over the next 4 years by leveraging our existing OEM relationships with leading brands and also forging new ties.”
