Google marks India Children's day with  school kid's  doodle

Bangalore, November 14 2014:  Google's India edition search pager doodle today  marks Children's Day by featuring art by Vaidehi Reddy, a student of theArmy Public School, Pune .  Vaidehi's drawing of the natural and cultural attractions of Assam state, was the overall  winning entry in Google's contest for school children to submit doodles on the  place in India they would like to visit. 
The Group 1  winner ( Class 1-3) was  for "God's own country Kerala"  Sarvagjna Miriyala, from  DAV Public School, Panvel, Mumbai. Group 2 winner ( class 4-6)  , "Ooty's Beauty"  came from V Sai Latha Rani from Sri Prakash Vidyaniketan, Vizag . The Group 3 winner (class 7-10)  "Heritage Glorified - Hampi", won an award for Y Sai Greeshma, Sri Prakash  of Vidyaniketan, Vizag.
The 12 finalists will receive: a Chromebook laptop  while the national winner will in addition gain a 3 night-4 day trip with her parents, to the place in India she has doodled .
