Bangalore, December 13 2013:The Bangalore headquartered Product Engineering Services company iWave Systems Technologies, has successfully built upon the system-on-chip offerings of US-based embedded processing solutions leader Freescale, to created a wide slate of System-On-Modules(SOMs) for OEMs and manufacturers worldwide.
Thanks to the company's status as a Proven Partner of Freescale, it has been able to unveil SOMs based on the i.MX family of processors almost simultaneously with the announcement of the Freescale SOCs.

At a recent media briefing at the Bangalore facility of Freescale, iWave co-founder and Managing Director Mohamed Saliya and his team, showcased their latest product innovations in the areas of digital signage, Point of sale machines, rugged computers, in-vehicle infotainment etc.

iWave Systems' Freecale i.MX 6 processor and ARM Cortex-A9 core based Digital Signage Solution is a handy system just 210 grams in weight, controlling up to four displays in full HD and supporting an Android-4.0 operating system.

In-Vehicle Infotainment is a term that defines the entertainment and informative applications that are made available in automobiles. IVI allows display screens in cars and hence, the driver, access to maps, media players, electronic dashboards, engine diagnostics, internet and social networking, and integration with handheld devices. iWave’s RainboW-G15M-MXM (i.MX6 MXM SOM) COU module based on Freescale’s i.MX6 Series processor designed mainly targeting the automotive infotainment application.fuels the car infotainment solutions provided by a leading   international  leader in vehicle systems.

Other vehicle-related offerings include a passenger interface for the Brussles , Belgium bus system, where the entire fleet of 6000 buses use 4 units each of the iWave solution.

iWave has also developed POS terminal designs based on Freescale's i.MX processors and to achieve small footprint, low cost , low power and highly security. The solution as deployed by some Indian OEMs, are Aadhaar-compliant biometric identification terminals.

Such equipments are also being used in the Medical field by dermatologist to provide quick diagnosis and treatment.

iWave proudly displayed its s own portable hand skin sensor solution -- developed for Shiseido, a leading cosmetic company in Japan.The VGA camera at the heart of the iWave Skin Analyzer works in three modes: Grain Mode, Polarization Mode and Skin Colour Mode.
