Lenovo launches 4K-friendly smartphone aimed at semi professional users

With a large 6’ screen and powered by Snapdragon 801, the Lenovo VIBE Z2 Pro is targeted at the ‘pro leisure’ user
Bangalore,  October 2 2014: Lenevo has launched the VIBE Z2 Pro smartphone, a beefed up device – best in the VIBE series so far – to meet the expectations on the business professional as well as the avid gamer.
One of the few products in the market with a 6inch  touch screen, the Z2 Pro aims to provide an immersive multimedia experience with video recording at 4K quality, and 120fps, powered by a 16 megapixel camera that records in a 16:9 dimension. The smartphone also features automatic image stabilization when using the 5 megapixel front camera. Lenovo’s in-house application – SHAREit – comes pre-installed in the Z2 Pro, allowing users to seamlessly transfer files to other Android phones. An interesting upgrade on this phone is SHAREit’s ability to transfer files to and from iOS and MS devices, albeit with reduced functionality. The Z2 Pro features an all-metallic body.
Anuj Sharma, Product and Marketing Head, Smartphones at Lenovo, told IndiaTechOnline “Our collaborative product team in Japan, China and the US spent a lot of time to find the fine balance of metal and poly-carbonate to build the Z2 Pro. While poly-carbonate keeps the device weight low, the metal makes it sturdy. The Z2 Pro is probably the sturdiest smartphone in the market. With the trend of premium metallic phones coming back, the Z2 Pro is all set to become the smartphone of choice.”
The Z2 Pro is priced at Rs. 32,999, available exclusively on Flipkart from October 6.
Other key features of the smartphone are: 5 MP Secondary Camera;  Android v4.4 (KitKat) OS; 16 MP Primary Camera;  Wi-Fi Enabled; 6-inch Capacitive Touchscreen ; 2.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AC Quad Core Processor. Link to company website
