HCL will manage central repository for India's flagship ID project

New Delhi, August 12, 2012: Indian leader in hardware, services and system integration, HCL Infosystems will manage the Central ID Repository (CIDR) of the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) under a Managed Service Provider (MSP) arrangement for seven years. The entire end-to-end technology infrastructure of the UIDAI will be managed by HCL who will be responsible for procurement and installation of the IT infrastructure, implementation of information security management systems and operations support and maintenance. The scope of work also includes technical helpdesk, support services and database administration.
