Epson debuts into scanners with a smart portable model

Bangalore, April 26, 2012 - Epson has made its first foray into scanners, launching a portable A4 model  in India-- the Epson WorkForce DS-30 -- with some smart document management features, normally found only in bulky desktop versions.

The DS-30 scanner weighs only 325 grams, and can easily fit into most briefcases, and needs only a single USB connection to a notebook or PC to operate. It can scan a variety of items from business cards to A4 and letter sized (8.5 x 11 inch) documents and working with an LED light source rather than a laser, has a low power consumption of only 500mA .
