September 25 2011— Global flash memory storage leader SanDisk Corporation, has launched a slate of new retail products for India including a high write-speed card for cameras and ultra miniature USB flash for tablets and phones. “Our flash storage solutions help consumers capture more photos, load their mobile apps faster, share exciting moments with friends and preserve their memories for generations to come,” said Manisha Sood, Country Manager and Director, India and SAARC SanDisk Corporation.
The SanDisk Memory Vault promises to preserve images in their original quality for up to 100 years. It uses “Chronoloc” advanced solid-state storage technology and comes in 8 gigabyte ( Rs. 3,499 ) and 16GB capacities. ( Rs 5499).
The 64GB SanDisk Extreme Pro SDXC UHS-I Card doubles the performance to create a new SD card based on the latest SD 3.0 specification’s Ultra High Speed (UHS) bus architecture. It offers the fastest write performance of any SD card in the world to date 90 megabytes per second -- and is ideal for imaging enthusiasts using UHS-enabled cameras which record in full HD.The card features up to 95MB/sec read speeds capable of supporting transfer of photos to a computer in half the time. They s come in 8GB to 64GB capacities with selling prices at Rs. 2,199 (8GB) to Rs16,299 (64GB).
The new 64GB SanDisk Mobile Ultra microSDXC Card doubles double the capacity of most advanced smartphones and tablets and features up to 30MB/sec4 transfer speeds needed to capture Full HD videos. The card is compatible with any tablet or smartphone equipped with a microSDXC card slot.SanDisk Mobile Ultra cards come in capacities ranging from 4GB to 64GB to meet a variety of needs, with MSRPs at Rs. 899 (4GB) to Rs14,799 (64GB).
SanDisk’s new Cruzer Fit USB flash drive is about the size of a dime, fitting easily into USB-compatible tablets and notebooks for convenient storage expansion. The drive comes in 4GB to 16GB capacities with MSRPs at Rs. 249 (4GB) to Rs749 (16GB). The Cruzer Switch USB flash drive features a cap-less, slider-less, flip-top design for easy portability and comes in 2GB to 64GB capacities with MSRPs at Rs. 499 (2GB) to Rs2,699 (64GB).
On almost all these USB drives SanDisk offers encryption and online backup features (up to 2GB).
While Cruzer Fit and Switch are available now, the other products will be available in October.
