Now, satellites beam directly to school tablet PCs!
The foot print of AsiaStar and AfriStar satellites cover most of Asia, Africa and parts of Eastern Europe

November 15 2014: The world's first  tablet  for educational use,  with a direct satellite data connection  has been  launched in  India and Africa.
It will soon be available  to deliver content via satellite to rural, remote and low income regions in Asia, Africa and the Middle East.
The device  called Odyssey from South African  Satellite solution provider Yazmi harnesses the multicast software platform from Belgium-headquartered  Newtec .
The first pilots of the technology are taking place in India (with 30,000 licenses) and the sub-Saharan region in Africa.
