Technopark’s 20 years Twenty years ago this week, Technopark, India's first integrated hardware-software technology park and still among the three largest IT parks in India today, was formally created by the Kerala state government. The actual campus was opened in November 1995.

Three executives who helped transform concept into reality are still happily with the Park: M. Vasudevan, Senior Business Development Manager; K.C. Chandrashekharan Nair, Chief Financial Offic; and K. Ramachandran, Deputy General Manager. This week they are in a nostalgic trip back even as they join in felicitating some of the anchor companies in the park like Toonz Animation India, IBS Software Solutions, UST Global, NeST and SunTec Business Solutions.
They recall the leadershiop of their first chairman, KPP Nambiar and the first CEO,G Vijayaraghavan. Technopark the first CMMI Level 4 assessed Technology Park. Spread over 300 acres, and about 2.1 m. sq.ft. of built-up space, Technopark hosts over 120 IT and ITES companies, including 6 CMMI Level 5, 2 CMMI Level 3 and several ISO 9000 certified companies, employing over 15,000 IT Professionals. Companies working at Technopark include Ernst & Young Middle East, Tata Elxsi, US Technology, Network Systems & Technologies, IBS, RR Donnelley Global BPO, Suntec, GCI Enterprise Solutions, TCS, Infosys Technologies, Allianz Cornhill, RM ESI, Alamy Images, Kanoo Group and Toonz.
