December 1 2017: The leading personal technology directions  2016 to 2017:  

1. Cashless mobile payments received a fillip at end 2016, when theIndian government demonetized Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes, forcing millions to  shift to e-payments -- or starve
2.  Biometric authentication for ID systems like Aadhaar  may  fuel new e-payment options in Inda, using either finger print or iris scan
3. Voice activated assistants and chat bots like Google Assistant, Microsoft Cortana, Apple Siri and Amazon Cortana,  made voice a viable option for finding info on your phone.
4.The Type C USB is finally here and in 2017, may be the  mainstream  connection for portabvle devices.
