Phicomm Energy 653: Pocket rocket!

The Phicomm Energy 653 is the Parthiv Patel of smart phones – small in size and price, but optimum on performance
Bangalore, August 24 2015: It’s tough times for the smart phone buyer, with brands packing in an unbelievable number of capabilities and even after-sales service offers. Higher prices are often justified by specs and performance, and of course, design and battery.
And then, comes along a device which is true value for the money you pay. No fancy design, no diamond studded back panel or laser flash camera, but a lightweight smart phone that is future-ready and packs in enough performance capabilities to become your primary phone.
The Phicomm Energy 653 is powered by a 1.1 GHz, Quad Core Snapdragon processor and 1 GB RAM, with Android 5.5 Lollipop pre-installed. With an 8 megapixels rear and a 2 megapixels front camera, the 653 features a design wonder which is unique to high end smart phones: The camera doesn’t jut out. Most ‘slim’ phones in the market have a little bulge to house the camera unit, but the 653 is able to achieve slimness all through its back panel. At a thickness of 8mm, it houses a 5 inches screen that supports full HD IPS display, and is powered by a 2,300 mAh battery.
The device is easy to hold and manage, and the buttons are sensibly placed on the right side panel, just the way we are used to in premium devices. The that it comes with 4G dual SIM capabilities, makes it one of the cheapest 4G phones in India. Available for Rs. 4999 at  Amazon, the Phicomm 653 is a good thing in a small package. -  V .
