Tavant's focus on Big Data, R&D, brings key customer wins

Bangalore, November 12 2014 : Global provider of specialized software solutions, Tavant Technologies,  has reinforced its thrust on R&D for the Indian market,  gaining customers like NIIT and SBI (Capital Markets division) in the process.

US-based dairy and agricultural co-operative, Land O'Lakes has been a Tavant customer for 14 years. Mervyn Lally, in  charge of  Architecture, Innovation & Integration, WinField Solutions, Land O'Lakes said, "We are using advanced technologies to improve our farming business. We provide multiple co-ordinates to farmers ranging from weather, soil data, to seeders and irrigation systems, for each location. This is a lot of data, which is organized, processed and retrieved with the help of Tavant teams. Recently, we provided to our partner-farmers, an iPad application where these parameters can be accessed real-time, leading to better quality agricultural products, faster." |
