NASSCOM announces inaugural gaming awards

Pune, November 15, 2013:  The National Association of Software and Services Companies  has announced  the winners of the inaugural edition of  NASSCOM Gaming Forum   Awards, on the side lines of  its  Game Developers Conference (NGDC) which conclude here today.

 

Student game of the year: Winner (Jury) - Chaos Theory: Diptoman Mukherjee; Winner (Popular Choice) - Project Heera : Diamond Heist:  Mazhlele;  Runner-up (Jury) – Socioball: Apoorva Joshi

 

Indie Game of the Year: Winner (Jury) - HUEBRIX: A Twisted Puzzle of Space, Time and Color: Yellow Monkey Studios OÜ; Winner (Popular Choice) - Song of Swords: Nautilus Mobile App Pvt Ltd: Runner-up (Jury) - Save The Dummy: Sandyloisa.

The global gaming industry has witnessed constant evolving with the introduction of new technologies in the gaming circuit and this has had a domino effect in India. The domestic market too is witnessing a constant rise in demand for new innovations from customers. The performance of the three major market segments: mobile gaming, personal computer (PC) and online gaming, and console gaming, dictates the dynamics of the gaming industry in India.
