Dell Bangalore goes green with rooftop  solar farm

Bangalore, June 24, 2013: Dell’s Whitefield campus becomes With a capacity of 42.78 kilowatt peak, the grid system will help Dell reduce its carbon footprint by an estimated 54.9 tons of CO2-equivalent per year. Dell’s installation includes 186 solar panels across 3340 square feet which will help avoid the use of batteries. Approximately 22.6% of Dell’s global electricity consumption came from renewable sources in FY13.

This Solar PV Grid Connected System installation strengthens Dell’s commitment to operate our facilities in a responsible manner.”
