Bangalore/ Delhi May 13 2014:  Post its acquisition by Microsoft, Nokia continues  on its  roadmap with handset launches as well initiatives to grow the ecosystem  of  mobile music and allied services:
Last week the company  saw Indian singer superstar, actress and model, Priyanka Chopra  come on board  to promote Nokia MixRadio's music streaming services,while, launching her new music video and curating personal Nokia MixRadio playlists.
Overall spending on music is expected to see a growth of $3.9 billion in the next three years, with an expected 420 million music streaming users by 2018, 73% of them from outside USA, largely from India and China. It is expected that India will see a growth of more than 110% over the next five years, resulting in one in every fifteen streaming users coming from India. Nokia MixRadio is positioning itself not only as a gateway to a great domestic catalogue but also as a place to discover the most popular music globally with playlists curated to deliver music from 31 different countries.
First Windows Lumia
Meanwhile  Nokia, sorry Microsoft, has brought the first Windows 8.1-powered Nokia phone -- the Lumia 630 to India. The first ever Dual SIM Lumia smartphone with quad-core processing and a ClearBlack 4.5” LCD screen,  will be available in stores on May 14, 2014 at  around Rs 11500.  The Lumia 630 will also be available in a single SIM variant, starting last week of May 2014, priced at Rs 10500.
Integrated features including one swipe notifications from Action Centre, the new Microsoft Enterprise feature pack, Microsoft Office, OneDrive,  Camera, and HERE Maps and Drive+. And as behoves a Windows phone, you can expect good integration with XBox.

The new Lumia 630 will come pre-loaded with premium video app Box TV offering sitcoms, Hollywood, and Bollywood content, free of cost for 2 months, free eBooks worth Rs. 2000 on Flipkart, six free games by Gamesloft for gaming enthusiasts and the NexGTv app for cricket fans, allowing them to live streaming all the IPL action for free.  Music fanatics will be able to get their hands on Coloud Pop headgear at a 50% discount. All Vodafone subscribers can also enjoy 1GB of 3G data per month for a period of 2 months on the Lumia 630.
