Owing it to the world to bring about a change, there is a need for collective transformation in attitude and behavior of the society. With this thought at its core, and to create awareness about clean oceans, the dangers of plastic dissemination, Dropledge, a Mumbai based social cause focused tech enterprise, recently launched a mobile game –‘Ocean Heroes- Make Ocean Plastic Free!’
Available on the Google Playstore, this game was launched on January 21, 2020, as the company intends to propagate a simple thought that can create a positive impact on issues in the society and environment through a memorable, gaming experience.
Ocean Heroes looks at increasing the reach and awareness about plastic pollution in oceans and protection of marine life. In this game, as the user progress through various levels, he or she has the aim to collect as much plastic waste from the ocean as possible while saving the marine life and helping clean up the ocean resulting in collection of credits by recycling garbage. The app further allows people to experience the process thus enabling attitude and behavioral transformation while encouraging them to take ‘pledges’. It also allows users to directly support partnered NGO - SagarShakti focusing on coastal and marine bio-diversity and habitat conservation.
