The iBall Slide Gorgeo 4GL offers dual 4G slots & flash-assisted front camera
It's smart to go in for a 4G phone this year as almost every major provider has announced 4G services. There's no reason why tablets should be left behind -- and iBall's new tablet ( iBall Slide Gorgeo 4GL) the throws in dual 4G SIM slots for good measure. Both cameras -- 8 megapixel rear and 5 megapixel front come with flash. You want to beef up your photography, the tablet also takes a set of SLR lenses that you can buy for Rs 1499.
The 1 GHz quad core64 bit processor backed by 1 GB RAM is up to most tasks and you can expand the built-in 8GB RAM to 32 GB with a micro SAD card. The 7 inch 1024 by 600 IPS display is on the lower side of HD.
Apps wise, I have come to appreciate the combo of preloads that iBall has always provided -- in this case, games like All Star Cricket, Asphalt Nitro and MotoCross and a very comprehensive info and current news package in Newshunt. The company is a loyal supporter of Opera -- which is good, because the latest iteration of Opera Mini has a host of user- friendly features including clever software to reduce data usage during video downloads.
The makers throw in three different USB cables so connecting to all types of ports is a cinch. At Rs 6999, this is good value for money. --Anand Parthasarathy. February 6 2016
