iBall Slide i701: Budget tab for Windows fans

June 1 2015: If you currently use a Windows desktop or laptop, and plan to  buy  a tablet, it is always easier to stick to the same OS. The iBall Slide i701 Windows tablet is made for people like you. It runs on a 1.33 GHz quad-core Intel Atom processor with 1GB RAM and Windows 8 OS.
The tablet comes with a free upgrade to Windows 10.  It also includes free one year subscription to MS Office and 1TB free cloud storage on OneDrive.
The tablet supports Wi-Fi, and 3G on Dongle. But there is no SIM card slot, which means you can’t connect to 3G on data or make regular phone calls. For connecting with other devices, this tablet features a HDMI port, a useful feature these days. You can also access files and folders from your PC with Microsoft's  remote desktop feature.
Videos and images are quite clear on the 7-inch HD IPS display,  which  we found as touch -sensitive as many pricier makes. The Slide comes with a 2 megapixels rear camera and a VGA front camera  which one might consider slightly underpowered.
The iBall Slide i701 runs for long with the 3200 mAh battery. It offers 16 GB of built-in storage, which is expandable up to 32 GB.  Coming free with this product is a HDMI cable and three additional protective cover.
Priced at Rs. 4,999, this tablet  with its combo of features and free tools, is a good   bargain and a rare Windows product in this price band.
