Chakrapani to head Microsoft's consumer channels in India

Mumbai, November 8 2011: Chakrapani GK is to be the head of Microsoft’s Consumer Channels Group (CCG) in India. Chakrapani brings over 19 years of experience with him. Until recently, he was with Nokia as Director for the Mobile Financial Services business, focusing on driving the Go-To-Market strategy and expansion in Asia after initially establishing the business in India.
In his previous role with Nokia, Chakrapani served as Country General Manager for the Enterprise Solutions Business Unit in India and led the team to establish the smartphone and Eseries business in India. Prior to this, he has held several sales, marketing and business management roles for large solution providers including Datacraft (now Dimension Data). Chakrapani has also spent three years as an entrepreneur founding and managing an ecommerce startup; Office Infinity during 2000-2002.
