Srini Koppolu, former Managing Director of the Microsoft India Development Center (MIDC) and Corporate Vice President of Microsoft, has been named Chairman of the Hyderabad -based technology developer SETU Software Systems. He Microsoft on September 24, 2010 after working there for 21 years.
Koppulu is also an investor in SETU, acronym for Search and Extraction Technologies as well as the Sanskrit word for bridge. It was founded in 2008 by a few researchers and faculty members of the Search and Information Extraction Lab (SIEL) at the International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad, with a vision to bridge information access barriers by taking their technology to the society. www.setusoftware.com September 21 2011
