New Delhi, August 18, 2015: Having decided to spin out Veritas which it merged with itself a few years ago, Symantec Corp has named Balaji Rao as the India Sales Leader for the separate entity
Rao is an industry veteran with close to 20 years’ experience working in blue chip technology companies and has held several leadership positions. He has a deep understanding of the Indian market with diverse experience across the domains of virtualization, cloud, security, enterprise management software and storage. Rao has also achieved an excellent track record of setting up successful sales teams and delivering significant business growth. Prior to his appointment as the India Sales Leader for Veritas, he was the Senior Director - Sales, India & SAARC at VMware and was responsible for managing the business across key verticals with a geographically spread sales team. He has also worked with other leading technology companies including Hewlett Packard, EMC and IBM.
