Networking veteran Sanjay Rohatgi to lead APJ sales for Symantec from Singapore

Singapore, April 28:  As a consequence of separating the operations of Symantec and Veritas,  Sanjay Rohatgi is to be   Senior Vice President, Sales,  in the Asia Pacific and Japan region for Symantec. He will be based in Singapore.
Prior to this appointment Rohatgi was vice president -- Sales for Symantec in India.  He joined Symantec after an illustrious career at Cisco where , most recently, he held the position of Managing Director, Service Provider for India and SAARC. At Cisco, Rohatgi has also been the Managing Director for Indonesia for two years and prior to this, led the Service Provider group for Asia based out of Singapore. Before joining Cisco, Rohatgi worked with Nortel Networks in Hong Kong , Telstra and BHP Billiton in Australia , and British Telecom in the UK.

Rohatgi holds an MBA from Macquarie Graduate School of Management, Sydney, Australia and a Masters in Opto-Electronic from Strathclyde University , U.K. He also holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics & Telecommunications from India .
