Murali Urs is India Sales Manager for Barracuda

Bangalore,  March 25 2014: Leading  US-headquartered provider of cloud-connected security and storage solutions, Barracuda Networks,  has announced the appointment of Murali Urs as the company’s new Country Sales Manager for India.
Murali comes to Barracuda with over 20 years of experience in the IT industry.  He started his career in the reseller community and worked with distributors before joining NAI (now McAfee) in 2001 and then VERITAS Software in 2002,rising to the role of Regional Manager for South India and Sri Lanka after VERITAS’s acquisition by Symantec. In his role at Symantec he managed the security portfolio along with the VERITAS stack of solutions and he has been part of the core team that setup VERITAS’ Software base in India and made it a successful brand in the Country.Murali joined ArcSight as the Regional Director of Channel Sales for SAARC in July 2010 and was instrumental in growing the ArcSight business in India which became part of HP Enterprise Security.
Prior to joining Barracuda, Murali worked as a Regional Director at HP Enterprise Security Products, where he was responsible for Sales, Channel Sales, Channel Management and Alliances for HP Enterprise Security Products in India. In his role he managed business in large enterprise accounts as well as channel sales.
