New Delhi, March 06, 2014 – Priyadarshi Mohapatra  is the  new Managing Director, India and SAARC for  Unified communications leader,  Avaya.
He will be responsible for providing strategic direction to the India operations, managing India business priorities, and enhancing Avaya’s position as a leading business communications company, as well as delivering solutions to customers across India in the Unified Communications, Video Collaboration, Customer Experience Management and Data Networking space.
A 17 year veteran of the industry, Priyadarshi  joins Avaya from SAP where he spent the last six years and held various leadership positions. Earlier,  he  started the retail practice for Sun Microsystems  and previously co-founded, Oyzterbay, a venture capital funded jewelry chain that became the second largest jewelry retail chain in India.
Priyadarshi holds a Chemical Engineering degree from NIT Rourkela and a post-graduate degree in management from Xavier Institute of Management, Bhubaneswar.
