Mumbai, December 12, 2012—BICSI – the professional association of the IT Systems industry worldwide, has announced the appointment of Ketan Kothari as the new BICSI India District Chair.
Kothari is the Managing Director for Sigma-Byte Computers, one of the largest systems integration companies in India. He holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics from Mumbai University and has completed an executive management program from Indian School of Business, Hyderabad.
Kothari is not new to BICSI—as the first India District Secretary for BICSI, he was instrumental in acquiring the country’s original District status.
As a member of the BICSI India Steering Committee, Kothari has also been highly involved in planning and executing conferences, events and training throughout the country, including seeking and managing sponsorships for BICSI India Conferences over the past several years.
As District Chair, Kothari plans to increase BICSI India membership through training programs, seminars and media relations with the goal of eventually establishing India as a BICSI region. By working with government agencies and large enterprises, Kothari also hopes to integrate BICSI standards and best practices into project specifications throughout the District.
