BeyondTrust brings context-aware security intelligence to India

Bangalore, August 1, 2012 – BeyondTrust, the Carslbad, California (US)-based security solution provider whose USP is Context-Aware Security Intelligence, is aggressively addressing the opportunity in India, even as it globally launches new mobile extensions to its flagship offerings.
PowerBroker Mobile
unveiled last week, is the first mobile security solution to integrate context-aware management with vulnerability and patch information. It represents the next generation of mobile device management (MDM) by providing remote administrative functions for mobile devices and vulnerability management for applications, operating systems and device configuration. Organizations can now enable mobile governance, risk and compliance (GRC) with rule-driven actions that instantly identify governance and compliance issues and report on critical risks.
Also launched last week was the latest iteration -- release 3.5 -- of BeyondTrust’s Retina CS, the first vulnerability management solution to integrate private cloud security into existing vulnerability management practices, providing organizations complete visibility and management of all vulnerabilities. The new release offers multi-tenant support for managed security service providers (MSSP), giving them the ability to further extend product capabilities and offerings to their customers.

In a special briefing for IndiaTechOnline, on the sidelines of their roadshow in Bangalore, BeyondTrust’s Brent Thurrell, Director of Sales for EMEA and Brian Chappell, Director of Sales Engineering, explained that while the PowerBroker solutions primarily addressed vulnerabilities within the organisation, many flowing from employee privileges, Retina targeted external threats – identifying, prioritizing and mitigating them.
PowerBroker Data Loss Prevention (DLP), now in its 4th edition, remains the first and only such tool that harnesses artificial intelligence to simplify deployment and delivery of protection from Day 1, they added.
