US healthcare solutions leader, Quality Systems, sets up India operation; launches Bangalore innovation centre

U.S-based providers of healthcare solutions, Quality Systems have extended their global footprint to India, setting up an innovation centre in Bangalore and assigning a Rs 1 billion kitty to fuel growth here over the next three years.

The company that provides solutions for hospitals, doctors and other medical establishments, including practice management systems, electronic health records and revenue cycle management ,will initially leverage its India facility to build on its three product verticals: in-patient solutions, ambulatory products and dental practice solutions.

It will then work with, what will soon be a 1000-strong India team, to support existing tools and solutions  -- and create new ones, angled at the developing world, said Ashish Shah, Managing Director of the India entity, QSI Healthcare in a briefing for IndiaTechOnline.
Steven T. Plochocki Chief Executive Officer of the parent, Quality Systems, said: “We are experiencing rapid growth, as practices and hospitals take action to digitize health records, secure government incentives and participate in patient-centred, collaborative care programs. QSI Healthcare is a part of our expansion plans that will help us extend our services beyond U.S. borders and transform the quality of healthcare delivered every day”.
In India, Quality Systems would study and learn from local medicare systems both private and public before addressing the market with its offerings, Plochocki added.
