TCS commits Rs 7 billion for a tech Park in Kochi

September 19 2021: IT services leader  Tata Consultancy Services (TCS)  is to set up an Innovation Park in Kochi, involving an investment of Rs 698 crore (Rs 6.98 billion).
This comes just weeks after IBM decided  to set up a software lab in the same Kerala city. ( See our story: IBM to set up its 5th India-based software lab in Kochi, Kerala (indiatechonline.com)
The Park will come up on 36.84 acres of land  allotted to TCS  by the state government in the KINFRA Electronics Manufacturing Cluster, Kakkanad, for an Electronics Hardware & IT-cum IT services facility.
KINFRA Managing Director Santhosh Koshy Thomas and TCS Kerala Vice President Dinesh P Thampi signed the MoU in the presence of of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Industries Minister P Rajeev.
