June 28 2021: Vahak is India’s largest online transport marketplace for road transport businesses and individual commercial vehicle owners (Trucks, Trailers, Containers, Hyva, LCVs). It was co-founded by IIT graduates, Karan Shaha and Vikas Chandrawat in February 2019.
Vahak enables its customers in online lorry bookings, transport business branding and network expansion. The Leo Capital funded startup is transforming the Indian cargo transportation sector by empowering its users with the power of technology and network through its platform.
The two co-founders embarked on a mission to digitally transform the logistics business in India after working on the ground level and running a transport company. During the three years of running their transport venture, they interacted with over 1000 transport companies and lorry owners. They faced several challenges when it came to booking trucks for transportation and the absence of an organized market made matters worse. 
They also understood that the huge trust gap in the logistics space had an adverse impact on the business generation abilities of transporters, agents and vehicle owners. This hands-on experience and the deep insight they gained about the core problems faced by the industry led to the  inception point for Vahak.
Vahak has an All India Live Transport Marketplace App for Load and Lorry Booking. The app enables customers to directly connect with trusted transporters and truck owners across India and book trucks, trailers, and loads on shared vehicles etc. The marketplace also helps transporters to create an online brand for their business, generate leads by leveraging a pan-India network, and increase their revenue generation by enabling them to run their vehicles for most days in a month. Users can also quickly make bookings at affordable prices and log on to the platform to book their load or vehicle of choice by directly connecting to transport providers on the platform.
Vahak has developed a network of more than 4 lakh truckers covering 8000+ locations across the country. The platform is growing at over 100% quarterly, and already manages more than 10,000+ daily active loads. The network now covers major transport and logistics hubs across India such as New Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Pune, Kolkata, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, Raipur, Bhilai, Bhopal, Lucknow, Bangalore, Kochi, Chandigarh, Vapi, Surat, Nagpur, Patna, and Indore. Vahak is aiming to increase its network to over 2 M Trucker and plan to reach $1 billion annual GMV in the next 12 months.
The company received its seed funding from Leo Capital in a round that also included prominent angel investors such as Amit Gupta, Founder Yulu Bikes; Abhishek Goyal, Founder, Tracxn; Ramakant Sharma, Founder, LivSpace; Harsh Pokharna, Founder, OkCredit; and Archana Priyadarshini, Angel investor, and ex Unicorn India Ventures Partner.
