Amaravati ( Andhra Pradesh), August 8 2018: Chinese Mobile phone brand and  a leader in the Indian market, Xiaomi,  will start component manufacturing in this country,  in partnership with  its key component supplier Holitech Technology, India. An MoU with the state of Andhra Pradesh  was signed two days ago and local manufacturing  will start in the city of Tirupati in the state.
Holitech Technology would be investing nearly $ 200 million over three years in the country and would be the first manufacturer in India manufacturing Compact Camera Modules (CCM), Thin Film Transistor (TFT), Capacitive Touch Screen module (CTP), Flexible Printed Circuits (FPC), and fingerprint sensor locally.
The local manufacturing is likely to start by the first quarter of 2019  and it is expected to generate 6000 jobs in three years.
